Fierce with a pen and notorious in combat, Cyrano almost has it all - if only he could win the heart of his true love. There’s just one big problem: he has a nose as huge as his heart.

Will a society engulfed by narcissism get the better of De Bergerac - or can his mastery of language set Roxane’s world alight?

James McAvoy returns to the West End as Cyrano de Bergerac in an inventive new adaptation of Edmond Rostand’s masterwork by Martin Crimp, with direction by Jamie Lloyd. This classic play will be brought to life with linguistic ingenuity to celebrate Cyrano’s powerful and resonant resistance against overwhelming odds.

The Jamie Lloyd Company is dedicated to creating ground-breaking West End productions with the very best acting talent in the world and with the aim of developing a new, more diverse theatrical audience. Jamie Lloyd excels at deconstructing classics and remodelling them for modern theatre, simplifying and decluttering the history of performance to find new emotional resonance in the original text. Freed from its exaggerated comic overtones and reimagined for the modern stage with a contemporary cast, this Cyrano feels at every moment like theatre at its most exciting, liberating and inclusive.

"A magnificent makeover of the French classic - a jaw-dropping success….you leave the theatre enriched by the superb wit of the writing, the energy and sincerity of the performances and the supreme theatrical imagination that has put all this together. I dare you to miss it." THE ARTS DESK  *****
