A comedy/drama starring a charismatic Javier Bardem as the ‘good boss’, this film is set in a factory that manufactures all types of scales. There is to be an inspection by a group who is surveying local businesses and will give a coveted award to the one selected as the best. However, before the inspection things get complicated when a disgruntled ex-employee arrives wanting to be re-hired. After his request is refused he begins a campaign of sabotage to prevent the company from winning the award. The movie was Spain’s entry for Best International Foreign Film at the 94th Academy Awards. David Stratton awarded it 4
