A two-day skill development workshop with Dr. Anneke Silver drawing from a live model with arrange of techniques, approached and experimentation.

On completion of the two day workshop, a pop-up exhibition of completed works will be on show upstairs in Gatakers Creative Space from 10 November, 2022 until 8 January, 2023.

About Anneke
Dr. Anneke Silver is a prominent and well established Queensland artist with more than 30 solo shows, and countless group, invitation and touring shows, to her name in Australia as well as America, Europe and Fiji.
Anneke (pronounced ‘arnica’) has painted for as long as she can remember, but received formal art training in Amsterdam (she was born in the Netherlands) and Brisbane, and gained her PhD in Creative Arts at James Cook University in North Queensland where she was an Associate Professor lecturing in painting, drawing and History/Theory of Art. She has been given residencies in Hill End, NSW; Alayrac in France; and Maine in the USA.
Her work is widely represented in collections such as The National Gallery of Australia; Queensland Art Gallery; Parliament House Queensland; Artbank; Art Space Mackay; Cairns, Bathurst, Bundaberg, Port Macquarie and Townsville Regional Galleries; Kedumba Australian Drawing Collection; Suncorp; City Hall Collection, Brisbane; private and corporate collections in Australia, Europe and USA. She has also created numerous public art works in Queensland, and Craftsman House have published a book about her.
Workshop Cancellation Policy
Gatakers Artspace cannot accept responsibility for any changes in personal circumstances. Missed workshops or change of mind are at your own expense.
If a participant chooses to cancel their confirmed registration, or cannot or does not attend the workshop, the following will apply:
- The registered participant may invite another person to substitute their place in the workshop (in which they are registered) at any time at no charge;
- If notice is received 2 or less days from the scheduled starting date, a refund will not be offered.
- If a workshop is cancelled by Gatakers Artspace a full refund or a reschedule will be provided. Gatakers Artspace will endeavour to advise participants of cancellation at least 48 hours prior to workshop.
