David Tennant is John Halder - a good man. But good men must adapt to survive. How is it possible to be a ‘good’ person when things are falling apart?

David Tennant (Doctor Who) makes a blistering return to the West End in one of Britain’s most powerful political plays, as an ordinary man who is swept into the Nazi regime.

As the world faces its Second World War, John Halder, a decent, intelligent, music-loving German professor, finds himself pulled into a movement with unthinkable consequences.

Olivier Award-winner Dominic Cooke (Follies, On Chesil Beach) directs C.P. Taylor’s timely tale, with a cast that also features Elliot Levey (Coriolanus) and Sharon Small (The Bay).

***** “David Tennant is riveting, witty and intensely human” Financial Times

*****  “Stunning” Metro

**** “Fascinating and appalling. David Tennant is magnificent in chilling drama" The Guardian

**** "Has the power to chill you to the bone" Time Out
