Create your own upcycled lantern and learn about the wonders of coral reefs with artist and educator Nadine Schmoll.

In this two-hour hands-on workshop artist and educator Nadine Schmoll will guide you to create your own up-cycled lantern inspired by coral polyps. As a Coral Watch ambassador, Nadine will share her knowledge of the fascinating secret life of coral, including reefs on our very own doorstep in Hervey Bay.

Bring your own plastic water or softdrink bottle and cut, mould, sculpt and paint, transforming waste materials into your own sustainable artwork. After the workshop join the Whale Festival lantern parade departing from City Park and become a champion for the reef! (marshalling in City Park from 5.30pm for 6pm start)

Two sessions will run on Saturday 3 August:
12.30pm – 2.30pm
3pm – 5pm
