This exhibition is a collection of images collated by travellers – Jo Dansie, Vicki Armstrong, Wendy Talbot & Helen Campbell, of places traversed beyond our shores.

What makes a good image?
What makes an interesting image?

They may not always be the same thing. A quality photographic image is not always an easy thing to achieve and your favourite may not be an excellent quality photo. It depends on many things. The external environment- most importantly, the light, the camera itself, plus your own eye- both for spotting a potential image and seeing what intuitively captures or moves you. It may be a formal or informal one. The formal is meant to covey an impression, mood idea or beauty. The informal is more like capturing the moment. Raw life.
A photo is a bit of a mystery. Something to net the imagination and interest.

What is the story?
What lies beyond the frame?
